Blue Flags 2022 in Sicily: all the beaches

The complete list of Sicilian beaches (19 in total) where there is greater attention to the sea, the environment and bathing services, rewarded with the Blue Flag.

All Sicilian beaches with Blue Flag 2022

The beaches of Sicily that have been awarded with the Blue Flag, the eco-label assigned to seaside tourist resorts that comply with criteria relating to sustainable management of the territory, in 2022 are a total of nineteen. The program is run by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The banners represent a recognition of the work of the coastal municipal administrations in the management of environmental issues, with particular reference to the protection of the marine ecosystem. The main international criteria on which the local authorities, in the case of public beaches, or the concessionary bathing operators, measure themselves are the quality of bathing water, environmental management, beach services and safety, environmental education and information.

Blue Flags 2022 of the Metropolitan City of Messina

The port is one of the main tourist ports of the Mediterranean, with intra-regional routes or, as for the Salerno Messina ferries, interregional.
