Limitation to the influx of motor vehicles on the island of Lampedusa
From 25 July 2023 to 5 September 2023 the influx and circulation, on the island of Lampedusa, of motor vehicles belonging to people who are not part of the population permanently residing in the Municipality of Lampedusa and Linosa are prohibited.

Exceptions
For the island of Lampedusa, in the period referred to in Article 1, paragraph 2, the following vehicles are excluded from the ban:
a) vehicles transporting people with disabilities, provided they bear the special marking required by art. 381 of the decree of the President of the Republic 16 December 1992, n. 495 and subsequent modifications and additions, issued by a competent Italian or foreign authority;
b) vehicles of public bodies involved in police, health and public interest services;
c) vehicles used for the installation and maintenance of systems and services for the community, as well as those used for food and water supply;
d) vehicles belonging to owners of homes located on the island, who, despite not being residents, are registered in the municipal registers of the tax for the disposal of solid urban waste for the year 2022, to be certified by self-certification, drawn up pursuant to decree of the President of the
Republic 28 December 2000, n. 445 and subsequent modifications;
e) vehicles authorized for particular reasons with provision of the mayor of Lampedusa and Linosa, adopted with the consent of the prefect of Agrigento.
Permissions
The Municipality of Lampedusa and Linosa is granted the faculty, in the event of ascertained and real need and urgency, to grant further exceptions to the ban on landing on the islands of Linosa and Lampedusa.
Vigilance
The prefect of Agrigento is in charge of the execution and of the assiduous and systematic supervision of compliance with the prohibitions established with this decree, for the entire period in question.
