All the beaches of Sardinia with Blue Flag 2022
The beaches of Sardinia with the Blue Flag in 2022 were awarded the coveted banner that certifies the quality of bathing water and services. Both free and under concession, they respond positively to the award criteria of the Fee (Foundation for Environmental Education) award. This is an international recognition that is awarded to the localities that manage the territory, directly with the Local Authority or through licensed beach operators, in a sustainable manner. The criteria that are taken into consideration are the following:
- Environmental education and information
- Water quality
- Environmental Management
- Services and Security

Blue Flags 2022 of the Province of Sassari
Beaches in Badesi
Li Junchi Beach
Li Junchi is a beach both free and equipped, with light sand tending to golden pink, with medium-sized grains. The seabed is sandy but becomes abruptly deep a short distance from the shore. Bushes of Mediterranean scrub and a pine forest characterize the hills behind.
Li Mindi Beach
Li Mindi beach is free, with golden sand of medium grain size and non-sloping sandy bottoms. Behind the bushy dunes give the coast a wild aspect.
Bay of Mimose Beach (Pirotto Li Frati)
The beach of Baia delle Mimose (Pirotto Li Frati) is made up of medium-sized, light-colored sand with shades of pink and yellow. We are located near the mouth of the Coghinas river, with the dune formations and the Mediterranean scrub that characterize the landscape located behind the beach.
Lu Poltu Biancu Beach
The Poltu Biancu beach is also part of the long marina of Badesi. It is free but in summer the lifeguard and rescue service is active. The sand is clear, with medium-sized grains. The seabed, initially shallow, is not sloping and suddenly becomes deep.
Beaches in Castelsardo
Madonnina or Stella Maris Beach
The Madonnina beach, also known as Stella Maris, is perfect for children, with its shallow water that slopes very gently. The sand is clear, pinkish, and fine. A section is free but there is also a bathing establishment.
Ampurias or Sacro Cuore Beach
The beach of Ampurias, also known as the Sacred Heart, is free, although there is also the possibility to rent sunbeds and umbrellas. The sand is white-pink and very fine.
Beaches in Sorso
Marina di Sorso Beach
The fourth, fifth and seventh comb of the Marina di Sorso beach are precisely the coastal areas of the municipality of Sorso awarded the Blue Flag 2022. The sand is made up of fine, light pink grains. The beaches, both free and equipped and framed by dunes covered with thick green tufts, also have areas for dogs.
Beaches in Sassari
Porto Ferro Beach
The Porto Ferro beach is entirely free, with medium-grained sand of a red-amber color. The dune formations, the Mediterranean scrub and a pine forest mark the scenery. There are coves for naturists and dog-friendly areas.
Porto Palmas Beach
Porto Palmas beach is a small crescent of light sand with medium-sized grains, completely free. The seabed slopes gently. The location is wild, between hills and Mediterranean scrub. Parking and a restaurant kiosk are available.
Platamona Beach (Rotonda)
The beach of the Rotonda di Platamona is made up of fine sand, light in color tending to pink, sometimes free and sometimes equipped.
Beaches in Santa Teresa Gallura
Rena di Ponente and Rena di Levante Beach (Capo Testa area)
There are two beaches on the sides of the sandy isthmus that connects Capo Testa to Santa Reparata. Rena di Ponente, also called Capo Testa beach on the left, which is characterized by light and fine sand that reaches the seabed, which remains low for a few meters from the shore; and Rena di Levante, where a low cliff gives way at a certain point to the beach of Zia Culumba or Capicciolu, of fine golden sand.
La Taltana Beach – Santa Reparata
La Taltana beach, on the west side of Capo Testa, and that of Santa Reparata are contiguous, with light and fine sand. The seabed, in the bay bordered by the cliffs, is low and sloping.
Rena Bianca Beach
The Rena Bianca beach has fine white sand, at times slightly pink. Located near the center of Santa Teresa Gallura, it presents freely usable pieces and equipped areas under concession. The seabed is shallow.
Conca Verde Beach
The Conca Verde beach is free, with fine golden grains of sand, with a shallow sandy and pebbly seabed. At times the rocks emerge from the water. Pines and Mediterranean scrub surround the cove. There is parking and a bar.

Vignola Mare Beach
Vignola Mare beach is pebble of a light color, tending to pink especially on the shoreline when it is wet. Medium-sized shrubs lap the freely accessible coastline.
Rena Majore Beach
The Rena Majore beach, entirely freely enjoyable, is made up of white sand with medium-sized grains. You can park nearby and also rent pedal boats. The seabed is sandy and the pine forest behind it is accessible.
Beaches in Trinità d’Agultu and Vignola
La Marinedda Beach
La Marinedda is a white and pink sandy beach with a fine graininess, embraced by reddish granite cliffs dominated by the green hills. The beach is free, with the possibility of renting beach equipment, kayaks, pedal boats and boats, as well as windsurfing.
Cala Sarraina Beach
The beach of Cala Sarraina is sandy, clear, with medium-sized pinkish grains, between green cliffs that soften near the crescent of sand, which is completely free, with rental services for sunbeds and umbrellas, pedal boats and kayaks, and a restaurant bar.
Long Beach Isola Rossa
The Long beach Isola Rossa is an expanse of fine white sand of considerable length, bordered on one side by a small port. The seabed is low, it slopes slowly and at first it is pebbly for a short distance but then it is sandy. The beach is free, with the possibility of renting beach equipment and restaurants.
Beaches in La Maddalena
Tegge Beach
The beach of Punta Tegge is of modest size, with coarse, pink sand, between flat granite rocks at the foot of the rocky hills that surround it, and rocky bottoms. In the immediate vicinity there are rental activities for bathing, catering and diving equipment.
Monti D’a Rena Beach
The beach of Monti D’a Rena is of light, almost pink sand, of coarse grains and completely free, with the possibility of renting pedal boats. The seabed is low and sandy.
Bassa Trinità Beach
The Bassa Trinità beach is made up of soft and fine white sand, with rocks with particular shapes on the sides and along the shore. Short and comfortable paths among the typically Mediterranean coastal flora connect it to the parking lot. The seabed is low, sloping and sandy and there are no bathing establishments but kiosks bars.
Porto Lungo Beach
In the bay of Porto Lungo or Cala Lunga, where Porto Massimo is located, there is a small sandy beach at one end of the coast, in a context characterized by shrub vegetation, totally free and without services.
Spalmatore Beach
In Cala Spalmatore there is this small beach protected, even from the winds, by hills of rocks, made up of coarse white-reddish sand, with shallow and sloping bottoms. Both free and equipped, it also has catering services and rental of kayaks and pedal boats.
Shipwreck Beach (Caprera Island)
The Shipwreck beach in Caprera is of very fine and clear whitish sand, of modest size and freely enjoyable. Not far from the shore there is the wreck of a merchant ship. Lush shrubs dominate the landscape.
The Two Seas Beach (Caprera Island)
I Due Mari (The Two Seas) is a small beach in Caprera with grains of fine white sand, and shallow waters that slope very gently. Located in Cala Caprese, the sand is surrounded by low hills full of thick bushes, and is both free and with a bathing establishment, also served by a kiosk bar and a parking lot.
Carlotto Beach (Cape Nido d’Aquila)
On the island of Maddalena, in Cala Carlotto, bordered by Cape Nido d’Aquila, there is a small sandy beach with medium-sized grains, embraced by rocks and cliffs and, behind, by the wild vegetation that hides the granite earth.
Beaches in Palau
Palau Vecchio beach
The small beach of Palau Vecchio, a short distance from the center, is of fine golden sand, with a path behind it for walks and an accessible pine forest. There are bars and parking is free.
L’Isolotto Beach
The small beach L’Isolotto is located in the center of Palau, between cliffs, nearby houses and Mediterranean scrub. Not far from the marina, a flat dirt path leads to the fine white sand of the comfortable beach.

Budoni Bay Beach
In the bay of Budoni there is this beach of fine white sand with a luxuriant pine forest behind it. It is located near the town and has all the comforts, as well as having long free stretches.

Beaches in Oristano
Torregrande Beach
Torregrande beach is made up of golden sand with coarse grains, with depths that become deep just a few meters from the shore. The beach is flanked by the seafront of the Marina di Torregrande, where there are catering services and so on, and it is both free and equipped.

Beaches in Tortolì
Lido di Cea Beach
Lido di Cea is a free beach of fine white sand, where it is possible to rent deck chairs, sun loungers and parasols. There are also bars and parking. Is Scoglius Arrubius (the red rocks) are located not far from the shore and, behind it, there are tight rows of green shrubs.
Lido di Orrì (I and II Beach)
The first and second beach of the very long Lido di Orrì are of fine pink sand; the seabed is low for many meters from the shore. There are bathing establishments and free sections.
Muxì Beach (Il Golfetto)
In Muxì (better known as the Golfetto di Orrì), there is the small beach called Il Golfetto, with fine white sand, surrounded by thick vegetation, free and with catering services.
Orrì Foxilioni Beach
On the beach of Orrì there is the Foxilioni equipped area, with bathing establishment, pedal boat and kayak rental, bar and restaurant, green area with barbecue rental and parking. The sand is fine and clear.
Ponente Beach (La Capannina)
The Ponente beach (also known as La Capannina for the name of the fresh fish restaurant) is free, of light sand with medium-sized grains.
Porto Frailis Beach
Porto Frailis beach is located near the center of Arbatax and it is both free and equipped. The sand is in the central part of the beach, with medium-sized grains, while on the side there are gravel, pebbles and rocks. In the immediate vicinity there are many accommodation facilities.
San Gemiliano Beach
The beach of San Gemiliano is of considerable size, with golden sand of coarse grains and sloping seabed. There are all kinds of services and it is located near the Baia del Saraceno tourist village.
Beaches in Bari Sardo
Bucca ‘e Strumpu / Torre di Barì / Sa Marina Beaches
The beaches of Bucca ‘e Strumpu, Torre di Barì and Sa Marina are located one behind the other, with free sections and sections under concession. The first, of light sand, is about a kilometer long, of golden sand of medium-large grains; the second, with the ancient Spanish defense tower in the middle of the eight kilometers of beach, is made of gravel; the third is made of small smooth pebbles. In short, it is the whole coast of Ogliastra that can boast an uncontaminated sea.

Beaches in Quartu Sant’Elena
Mari Pintau Beach
Mari Pintau beach is made up of sand mixed with gravel and pebbles. There are bars and beach equipment rental services and an accessible pine forest at the rear.
Poetto Beach
The Poetto beach is located a few steps from the center of Cagliari, and it is in parts free and in parts equipped. With light and medium sand, it has shallow and sloping bottoms and along its eight kilometers it offers all possible and imaginable services, including areas for dogs and equipment rental, and water sports schools.

Beaches in Sant’Antioco
Maladroxia / Coacuaddus Beaches
The contiguous beaches of Maladroxia and Coacuaddas (or Coaquaddus) are located on the south-eastern side of the island of Sant’Antioco. The first is among the Mediterranean scrub; it is of soft fine white sand and free, but also in concession to establishments, with a shallow and sloping seabed. The second is of white sand with medium-sized grains and completely free, with a kiosk bar; it is wilder, surrounded by vegetation.
