Maritime connections to Nador
Nador is a coastal city in the north-east of Morocco: in the province, about a dozen kilometers away, is the town of Beni Ensar, whose landing is very close to the Spanish enclave of Melilla to which it is connected by a highway; it represents an important national port, generally referred to as the port of Nador. International passengers disembarking at Beni Ensar come from mainland Spain or France.
To get to Morocco from Europe by sea, there is also the possibility of taking a ferry to Tangier, which is located in the north-west, about 400 kilometers from Nador, which is located on the north-eastern Moroccan coast at the edges of the great salty lagoon of Bou Areg, also known as of Mar Chica (Daughter of the sea), separated by a sandy strip from the waters of the sea.
The beaches of Boucana and el Kalat are not far from the center. Opposite is the Spanish archipelago of the Chafarinas islands, which are Congreso, Isabel II and Rey, inhabited by soldiers and fishermen. Very interesting is the Zoco, the city market. About eight kilometers from the city, however, we find Mount Gourougou, 900 meters high, from which the view is fascinating, as well as the castles and mosques on the mountain.
