The free concert by Mr. Rain held in Cannigione, a hamlet of Arzachena, on Easter Monday 2023, is the only performance by the rapper and record producer to be both free of charge and scheduled outside the “Supereroi” tour, which moreover, it is about to be sold out on almost all the dates.
Mattia Balardi (this is the real name of the singer from Brescia), achieved great success at the latest edition of the Sanremo Festival with the pop-rap song whose refrain is sung by children. The location of this unique and rare musical event, financed by the municipality, is the port of Cannigione, on the north-eastern side of Sardinia, where the stage will be set up. On 10 April 2023, Easter Monday, Mr. Rain performs for free in Sardinia, in Arzachena, the second most populated municipality in the Gallura sub-region, which also includes the Costa Smeralda. The concert takes place on a stage that will be set up for the occasion on the seafront of Cannigione (in the cover photo), a seaside village of over 800 inhabitants located about 9 km from the center of Arzachena; the seafront is largely occupied by the docks of the tourist port, but there is also the beach.
Since he participated, finishing in third place, in the 73rd Sanremo Festival with the song “Supereroi“, accompanied in the refrain by the children of the Vallecrosia Music Industries school, the pop-rap singer who loves to play the piano, whose real name is Mattia Balardi, he became famous. The children’s voices of the “Mitici Angioletti” choir participated in the studio version of this song loved by children. Born in Desenzano del Garda in 1991, he has four albums to his credit (Memories, Butterfly Effect, Petrichor, Fragile).
After the huge success in Sanremo and the top of many music charts, Mr. Rain has planned the summer tour; already almost completely sold out, it has recently been extended with a new date. After the first stage of the Summer Tour, this concert is scheduled, which can be attended for free, during which the singer will perform, in addition to his strong piece, some of his songs awarded with the gold disc, such as “I grandi non piangono mai”, “Fiori di Chernobyl” e “Meteoriti”.

How to get to Cannigione
To reach Cannigione from the Italian peninsula, you must first reach Olbia by plane or with the Livorno – Olbia or Civitavecchia – Olbia ferries, then continue by car along the SS 125 Orientale Sarda street for about half an hour (almost 27 kilometres) or by bus (which it takes a total of an hour) with line 601 to Viale Costa Smeralda (Arzachena) and from here with line 604 to Piazzale del Porto square.
