Italy-Greece ferries: all routes

To reach Greece you can embark on one of the ferries, departing from some Italian ports, which make stops in some places on the Hellenic mainland and islands.

From Italy to Greece by ferry

The ferries that sail on routes from Italy to Greece are of various shipping companies. The ports of departure are those of Ancona, Bari, Brindisi and Venice; the ports of arrival are those of Igoumenitsa, of Patras and, only during the summer period, of the islands of Corfu and Kefalonia.

Ventouris Ferries carriers connect Bari to Igoumenitsa; in some cases, the routes include an intermediate stopover in Corfu and a final stopover in Kefalonia.

Superfast Ferries, in collaboration with Anek Lines, connects the Apulian capital with Patras and Corfu.

Grimaldi Minoan Lines ferries connect Ancona with Igoumenitsa, Patras and Corfu. Grimaldi Lines operates on the routes to Igoumenitsa and Corfu from Brindisi.

Let’s find out all the information on the aforementioned routes, which companies specifically navigate on that particular maritime trajectory and how, and when, the routes are made.

Maritime connections to Igoumenitsa, Patras, Corfu and Kefalonia

On the page linked below you can consult all the details relating to the individual ferry routes to Greece, such as times, timetables, prices, for the outward journey as well as for the return. Basically these are lines that connect Italy to all Greek destinations currently in place, through intermediate stopovers.

Anek Lines in collaboration with Superfast Ferries (departing from Ancona, Bari or Venice) makes a first intermediate stop in Corfu, but only in summer, and then in Igoumenitsa before arriving in Patras.

Ventouris Ferries works only in the summer. In July and August it runs both direct Bari – Igoumenitsa, and with a stopover in Corfu. Some routes also include the final stop in Sami, on the island of Kefalonia; in September there are exclusively direct runs from the Apulian port to Gomenizza.

Even with Grimaldi Minoan Lines, the intermediate stop in Corfu is scheduled only in summer, while for the rest of the year the line is the Ancona – Igoumenitsa – Patras one. From Brindisi, the route operated by Grimaldi Lines is the direct one to Igoumenitsa, with some summer runs that make the intermediate stop in Corfu.
