New Year’s Eve 2023 Cruise Ferry Trips
Especially on New Year’s Eve, there is no shortage of opportunities to take a nice pleasure trip by spending a few days (in any case less than a week) on a ship and in a coastal location, with a program of events planned. These are mini cruises that shipping companies, usually dedicated to passenger transport, organize to celebrate an important occasion such as the arrival of the new year. The ships used are cruise ferries, with fittings and services similar to cruise ships.
The holiday starts already on board, to continue once you reach your destination. You can choose to celebrate New Year’s Eve, and to spend the days between 2022 and 2023, by participating in the events planned on the ferry or by disembarking and organizing on the mainland with excursions to Barcelona and surroundings or touring on your own. Mini Cruise in Barcelona
The New Year’s mini cruise in Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, departing from the port of Civitavecchia lasts 6 days (5 nights), from 29 December 2022 to 3 January 2023; departing from Porto Torres the duration of the trip is 5 days (4 nights), precisely from 30 December 2022 to 3 January 2023.
The cruise ferry is the Cruise Roma of the Grimaldi Lines shipping company, 254 meters long. There are à la carte and self-service restaurants, cafes, an equipped area reserved for children, a wellness center, a casino and a disco.
It starts on Thursday evening from Civitavecchia; on board there will be a dancing night at the Planetarium Disco Club. The next morning, Friday, the call will be made in Porto Torres; entertainment activities for adults and children are scheduled throughout the day by the entertainment staff; in the evening a cabaret show is offered at the Smaila’s lounge, followed by a dancing night at the Planetarium Disco Club. On the night between Friday and Saturday, December 31st, you will arrive in the port of Barcelona; at this point you can get off the ship and come back as many times as you want. In any case, entertainment activities for adults and children are planned on board by the entertainment staff for the whole New Year’s Day. There is therefore dinner for children under 12 years of age (with supplement and dedicated menu) together with the entertainment staff, an aperitif for adults and the end-of-year dinner served at the restaurants on board (with supplement and fixed menu), followed by the variety show at the Smaila’s salon, the Big Party with a New Year’s toast and the dancing night at the Planetarium Disco Club. Mini Cruise on the French Riviera
The New Year’s Eve mini cruise on the French Riviera departing from Savona lasts 3 days (2 nights), from 30 December 2022 to 1 January 2023.
The fast cruise ferry of the Corsica Ferries – Sardinia Ferries shipping company is the Pascal Lota; on-board services include bar, cafeteria, à la carte restaurant, self-service restaurant, spaghetti shop, boutique, games area and video game room.
It starts from the port of Vado Ligure (Savona) with destination Nice on Thursday evening. Arrival in the port of Nice is scheduled for December 31, in the morning. You will leave for Vado Ligure at 12:30 on January 1st.
The price per person starts from € 335 (in double internal cabin). Cabins with portholes are also available. The fee includes two nights, two breakfasts, a dinner with table service and a dinner with party.
Mini Cruise in Corsica
The New Year’s Eve mini cruise in Corsica departing from Livorno lasts 2 days (1 night), from 31 December 2022 to 1 January 2023.
The cruise ferry is the Mega Express Two, a fast cruise ferry of the Corsica Ferries – Sardinia Ferries company characterized by the large glass spiral staircase at the stern. On board there are bar, cafeteria, à la carte and self-service restaurant, spaghetti shop, boutique, games and video games area.
It departs from the port of Livorno to Bastia on the morning of December 31st and it arrives in the afternoon of the same day. You will leave for Livorno on January 1st at noon, arriving in the late afternoon.
The price is starting from € 230 per person (double inside cabin). Cabins with portholes and luxe cabins can also be booked. The fee includes an overnight stay, breakfast and dinner with party.
