Limitation of the influx of motor vehicles on the island of Favignana
From 15 June 2023 to 30 September 2023, the influx and circulation, on the island of Favignana, of motor vehicles belonging to people who are not part of the population permanently residing in the municipality of the same name are prohibited.

Exemptions
The following vehicles are excluded from the ban:
a) public transport vehicles;
b) vehicles carrying people with disabilities, as long as they have the appropriate mark provided for by art. 381 of the decree of the President of the Republic 16 December 1992, n. 495, and subsequent amendments and additions, issued by a competent Italian or foreign authority;
c) vehicles of public bodies involved in police or public interest services;
d) vehicles belonging to owners of homes located on the island which, although not residents, are registered in the municipal tax registers of the IMU or TARI tax of the Municipality of Favignana, for the island of Favignana;
e) motor vehicles with foreign registration plates provided that they are driven by the owner or by a member of the owner’s family;
f) motor vehicles with Italian license plates, hired at airports by foreign tourists, upon demonstration of the rental agreement;
g) vehicles used for the transport of goods, provided that they do not conflict with the traffic restrictions in force on the roads of the island of Favignana;
h) motorhomes and caravans at the service of persons who demonstrate that they have reservations in existing campsites on the island, in which they are stationed for the entire period of their stay;
i) vehicles carrying fuel, oil and gas;
j) motor vehicles, mopeds and motorcycles belonging to people who can prove they are staying on the island of Favignana for a period of at least six days, by means of a round-trip naval ticket or self-certification;
k) motor vehicles, mopeds and motorcycles belonging to people who can prove that they have a reservation in hotel or non-hotel facilities for a period of at least six days;
l) ambulances and hearses; m) vehicles belonging to residents of the Egadi archipelago;
n) vehicles for transporting artists and equipment for performances, conferences, cultural events,
sporting events, and for television and cinema services, subject to authorization issued from time to time, according to the needs, by the Municipality of Favignana.
Authorizations
The Municipality of Favignana is granted the right, in the event of a clear and real need and urgency, to grant further exceptions to the ban on landing on the island.
Implementation and supervision
The prefect of Trapani is in charge of the execution and systematic surveillance of compliance with the prohibitions established with this decree, for the entire period considered.
