The Adria Ferries company connects the ports of Trieste, Ancona and Bari with that of Durres. Founded in 2004, its main business is the transport of passengers and goods.
Adria Ferries operates with a fleet consisting of 3 ferries:
Children up to 4 years of age travel for free; children aged 4 to 12 are entitled to a 50% discount.
The transport of pets (dogs, cats, etc.) is free and will be allowed on condition that they have a valid international health certificate. Dogs must be muzzled and led on a leash. Cats and other pets will need to be transported in cages.
In order to comply with the hygienic-sanitary regulations, pets must travel in the cabins dedicated to them (the maximum number allowed is two animals per cabin), or in the kennel/cattery on board. The nourishment will be borne by the owners. As animals are not allowed to stay in the common areas for walks, an outdoor area is available, where they must be led with a leash and, if necessary, a muzzle.
As a partial exception to the foregoing, guide dogs will be allowed access to the ship's premises to accompany the blind passenger and civil protection dogs with appropriate certification and in service.
The ticket price includes the free transport of one hand luggage per person up to kg. 75, which must contain exclusively personal effects of the passenger. In the event of overweight, the passenger will be required to pay the airline an additional sum, according to the rates in force.
Bicycles can be boarded for free.
Among the services offered by the Adria Ferries company there is also free Wi-Fi which allows passengers to always remain connected while sailing.
On board the Adria Ferries ferries there are numerous spaces dedicated to catering. There is a restaurant-pizzeria, a self-service restaurant and a bar where you can enjoy a good cocktail, savory or sweet snacks.
Passengers are entitled to withdraw, which must be formalized in writing, in compliance with the following methods:
- withdrawal communicated from the time of booking and up to twenty days before departure: application of an indemnity to be paid by the passenger equal to 20% of the ticket price;
- withdrawal communicated from nineteen to five days before departure: application of an allowance to be paid by the passenger equal to 30% of the ticket price;
- withdrawal communicated from five days to one day before departure: application of an allowance to be paid by the passenger equal to 50% of the ticket price;
- withdrawal communicated after these deadlines, application of an indemnity to be paid by the passenger equal to 100% of the ticket price.
The passenger who, without having previously communicated the withdrawal, does not show up for boarding or does not board the ship indicated in the boarding pass after checking in will not be entitled to a refund, even partial, of the price paid.
All indemnities will be calculated on the total of the passenger fares, vehicles booked and relative additional charges and taxes. The calculation of the terms of withdrawal must start from the day following the date of cancellation, including the departure date.
