Located on the south-eastern side of Sicily, Pozzallo is an important commercial port. Its proximity to the North African coasts and the island of Malta decreed its mercantile fortune.
With Malta also specifically with Valletta, it is on an annual maritime connection (more races during the summer) by the shipping company Virtu Ferries.
The Maritime Station was recently inaugurated with a waiting room, luggage service and bar.
Not just commerce and tourism. In the port of Pozzallo there is also room forpleasure boats and those from fishing , historical segment of the local economy.
A18 Messina-Catania; continue up to Rosolini; follow the signs for Ispica, after 15 kilometers you will arrive in Pozzallo.

The Pozzallo railway station (the southernmost in Italy) is about 5 kilometers from the port.

Near the port of Pozzallo there are various activities: car rental; boat rental; souvenir shop and nautical items; bar; tobaccos; distributor gasoline etcetera.
While waiting to embark for Malta, or even returning from a holiday on the island, a tour of Pozzallo is not a bad idea at all.
Apart from the beaches, the major tourist attractions of this town in the Ragusa area are in fact concentrated within a couple of kilometers: from the Torre Cabrera (coastal tower with sighting and defense functions from Saracen raids) to the Church of Santa Maria di Portosalvo, passing through the Piazza delle Rimembranze (famous for the Art Nouveau buildings that surround it) time passes pleasantly.
