BluNavy is an Italian shipping company that operates in the passenger and freight transport sector founded in 2010. In that same year, the connection between Piombino and Portoferraio was inaugurated with 6 daily trips (today there are 10). Despite being a young company Blu Navy has been able to grow in a short time in terms of service quality and customer satisfaction.
The BluNavy fleet is made up of 1 ferry, Acciarello, in addition to other vessels chartered for connections to/from the Island of Elba.
Children from 0/3 years travel for free (they pay only the taxes about 1 euro) and it is necessary to insert them at the time of booking. Children from 4/11 years enjoy special rates of up to 50% discount.
For the boarding of pets it is necessary to buy the relative travel document; dogs and cats are allowed only on the external decks of the ship. A maximum of one pet is allowed for each passenger. For cats, a pet carrier is mandatory and they must be kept for the duration of the trip. Dogs must be equipped with a leash and muzzle, or alternatively remain inside the carrier.
With Blu Navy luggage is free.
On Blu Navy ferries passengers traveling with a bicycle can board it for free; if the bike is transported on the roof of the car or hung behind the vehicle, the total length/height of the vehicle must be selected.
On the ships of the Blu Navy company, there is no WiFi service.
In the center of the ship there is a bar where you can buy drinks and food.
CANCELLATION penalties
Time before departure and penalty:
- more than 30 days: 10%;
- more than 10 days: 20%;
- more than 48 hours: 30%;
- more than 24 hours: 50%;
- less than 24 hours: 100% (no refund).
The special fare ticket is not refundable.
CHANGE costs (time, date)
Time before departure and cost:
- more than 15 minutes before (without vehicle): no cost;
- more than 30 minutes before (by vehicle): no cost.
Please note that a change fee and/or fare difference of 2€ may apply. Price differences in favor of the passenger will not be refunded. Changes to Tickets bought on the day do not involve penalties.
