The Lazio Region Marittima (also indicated with the name of Laziomar), is a shipping company used for the transport of people and goods.
It was born in Rome in 2011 following the termination of the Pontine branch of Caremar (Campania Maritime Region).
The company ensures all year round maritime connections between the ports of Formia, and in the summer, of Anzio with the Pontine islands.
The fleet includes both high-speed hydrofoils and ferries, the latter capable of carrying more than 600 passengers and around 60 vehicles.
The Laziomar passenger fleet consists of 8 units: 4 ferries, 3 fast boats and 1 single hull.
Reductions and free tickets vary depending on the sea vehicle used:
Small pets are allowed upon purchase of the appropriate travel ticket. Animals must travel in their arms or in special carriers (at the owner's expense); dogs must be equipped with a muzzle and a leash. It is necessary to have with you the veterinary booklet certifying the good state of health of the animal. Proof of parasite prophylaxis and rabies vaccination may be required.
On board the ferries, the passenger is entitled to one free hand baggage with a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
On board the hydrofoils, the passenger is entitled to one free hand baggage with a maximum size of 35 x 20 x 20 cm.
Additional baggage and baggage larger than the dimensions indicated above must be specified at the time of booking and purchased at the relative rate.
The verification of the size and weight of the baggage is borne by the user.
The ticket for the bicycle must be purchased at the ticket office.
Only some boats have WiFi connection.
Only some boats have a bar service with the possibility of buying drinks and small snacks on board.
All Laziomar tickets with ordinary fare are refundable up to 24 hours in advance, net of the following penalties:
No reimbursement is foreseen for "Special Fare" tickets, except in the case of failure to make the journey.
Booking fees are never refundable.
