The port of Capraia is located in the northeastern part of the homonymous island of the Tuscan archipelago. The port is characterized by the presence of a quay where ferries from the port of Livorno moor (travel time: 2h45min. ). In the immediate vicinity of the docking of the ships there is a small tourist port consisting of a series of piers intended for pleasure boats.
The port of Capraia can be reached easily on foot, due to the fact that a large part of the town is concentrated around the port area. Alternatively, you can move around using the shuttle service that connects the port to the town center *. Although there are driveways, during the summer there is a municipal ordinance that prohibits the circulation of non-island cars.
* The shuttle stop is located along the quay of the port.

Near the port of Capraia you will find a series of commercial activities: a fishmonger , an ice cream parlor, a local craft shop, a sports shop , a dairy, etc.
In spite of the small size of its inhabited area, the Municipality of Capraia Isola is rich in monuments and places of interest. Among these stand out the church of San Nicola (patron saint of the island), the church of Santo Stefano, the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta and the church of Sant'Antonio (with the adjacent convent).
A short distance from the center, on the eastern side of the island, you will find the Fort of San Giorgio: built by the Genoese in the mid-sixteenth century, the castle (used as a refuge by the population during pirate raids) watches over the port from above. Four watchtowers still stand in the territory of Capri: the Torre del Porto, the Torretta del Bagno, the Torre delle Barbici and the Torre dello Zenobito. The island of Capraia has a lighthouse, located a few hundred meters from the Torre del Porto.
Finally, the Stagnone della Capraia and the beaches of the island deserve a mention: cala San Francesco, cala dello Zurletto, cala del Ceppo, cala Rossa, cala del Moreto and cala della Mortola.
