Equipped for the docking of ferries and cruise ships, the port of Dubrovnik is located in Gruž (in Italian, Gravosa), a district about 3 kilometers from the ancient city.
In addition to passenger traffic, the port of Dubrovnik is well equipped for yachting, and is the starting point for almost all the maritime excursions that take tourists to discover the islands (Šipan, Lopud and Koločep) and coves surrounding.
Lines 1A, 1B, 3 and 8 of the local public transport company "Libertas". The bus station is approx. 500 meters from the port.

From Italy: Rijeka - Senj - Zuta Lokva - Gospic - Dugopolje - Vrgorac highway; continue on the Regional Road from Ploce to Dubrovnik.
For every scheduled flight that lands at Dubrovnik airport there is a bus that runs the shuttle service to the city. Ticket can also be purchased on board. The airport is about 20 kilometers from the bus terminal located near the port.
For the reverse route, Porto - Airport, the shuttle leaves 90 minutes before departure for Croatia Airlines and Austrian Airlines flights; for other flights, however, 2 hours before take-off.
By train it is possible to reach Split station and then continue by bus to Dubrovnik (approx. 230 km).
The historic center of Dubrovnik is pedestrian only. Public parking not far away. Parking stalls near the port.
The Jadrolinija ticket office - shipping company that manages the Bari -Dubrovnik and vv . - is located near the port.

A few steps from the port, inside the bus terminal (address Obala Pape Ivana Pavla II 44A) there is a left- luggage office.
Near the port there are several activities: hotels, b & bs, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, pharmacy, shopping center, shops, supermarket and the largest market in the city with stalls of fruit, vegetables and fresh fish of the day.
The historic center of Dubrovnik has two great advantages: its proximity to the port, which is a few hundred meters away; and the fact that it is entirely pedestrianized, to the full advantage of the commercial activities present.
A visit to the walls is a must (the city walls of Dubrovnik are almost 2 kilometers away) and to the Fortress of San Giovanni, which houses the Museum of the Sea.
The historic center, then, offers several glimpses of great beauty: among the monuments we point out the Rector's Palace, the Church of San Biagio and the Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary.
Finally, do not miss a walk to the Stradun , the main street of the city full of bars, cafes and shops.
