What to see near the port of Milazzo

Milazzo, like many other Sicilian places, is a city to be discoveredOf Greek foundation, the territory of Milazzo is characterized by the presence of numerous historical monuments, many of which are located along the promontory of Capo MilazzoAmong these, the Castle undoubtedly stands out, an ancient fortress which, like a treasure chest, contains artifacts created over the centuries.

Taking a tour of the fortified citadel (at the foot of which the ancient village develops), you will come across the ancient Cathedral of Santo Stefano, patron saint of the city. Other important places of worship are the Cathedral of Milazzo, the church of San Papino, that of the Rosary and the Sanctuaries of San Francesco di Paola and Sant'Antonio di Padova, where the Portuguese saint stayed after a shipwreck.

Among the places of interest, Palazzo D'Amico, the Governor's Palace, the "Domenico Ryolo" Archaeological Antiquarium and the Tonnara e del Mare museum deserve a particular mentionLast but not least, we would like to point out a very suggestive location. We refer to the so-called "Venus Pool", an inlet located at the most extreme point of Capo Milazzo, where you can enjoy wonderfully crystal clear waters.
