The port of Milazzo rises at the beginning of the homonymous cape, a peninsula of about 8 km extending into the Tyrrhenian Sea. It consists of two piers, where ferries and hydrofoils from the mainland moor. Milazzo is also the main crossroads of the connections that unite Sicily with the nearby Aeolian archipelago.
From the port of Milazzo, in fact, the fast races leave daily, allowing residents and tourists to reach Lipari and its six "sisters". To cope with the huge holiday flow, during the summer the companies that carry out the service offer a greater number of connections with the Aeolian archipelago. During the year there are also night routes from Naples to Milazzo (by ferry).

Milazzo, like many other Sicilian places, is a city to be discovered. Of Greek foundation, the territory of Milazzo is characterized by the presence of numerous historical monuments, many of which are located along the promontory of Capo Milazzo. Among these, the Castle undoubtedly stands out, an ancient fortress which, like a treasure chest, contains artifacts created over the centuries.
Taking a tour of the fortified citadel (at the foot of which the ancient village develops), you will come across the ancient Cathedral of Santo Stefano, patron saint of the city. Other important places of worship are the Cathedral of Milazzo, the church of San Papino, that of the Rosary and the Sanctuaries of San Francesco di Paola and Sant'Antonio di Padova, where the Portuguese saint stayed after a shipwreck.
Among the places of interest, Palazzo D'Amico, the Governor's Palace, the "Domenico Ryolo" Archaeological Antiquarium and the Tonnara e del Mare museum deserve a particular mention. Last but not least, we would like to point out a very suggestive location. We refer to the so-called "Venus Pool", an inlet located at the most extreme point of Capo Milazzo, where you can enjoy wonderfully crystal clear waters.
