In recent years the port of Termini Imerese has been affected by a series of renovations aimed at the commercial and touristic development of the city which, from an industrial reality as it was, is now seeking revitalization through its port and its sea.
To help it, in this sense, the proximity to the regional capital, Palermo (about 40 kilometers), with all that this proximity means for the rationalization of freight and passenger traffic in Western Sicily.

Near the port of Termini Imerese there are various activities: restaurants; ice cream parlors; bar; pizzerias; food; petrol station etcetera.
The port of Termini Imerese is not far from the city center. Therefore, while waiting to embark for Naples or Civitavecchia, a tour in the historic part of this town about 40 kilometers from Palermo, is undoubtedly worth doing.
